Household of God in Singapore

Clarie

One of the times where I received love from brothers and sisters was during my O-Level. A few days before O-Level started, a sister came to my house to pass me a card with well wishes from brothers and sisters. I was surprised to receive the card because the sister was willing to travel to my house even though she does not stay near me and it was even raining on that day. I felt grateful, loved, and touched that brothers and sisters cared for me. Even though I did not interact much with those from other groups in the church, they still wrote to me. I feel that we are one family. This was so different from my experience during PSLE, where no one wrote a card to encourage me (I had not joined the church yet at that time).

Another time was when I was issued a Health Risk Warning (HRW) during O-Level Science practical. I was very worried about how this would affect my performance. However, when brothers and sisters prayed specially and specifically for me during meetings, I felt calm to entrust my worries to God and trust in His grace and providence.

Moreover, throughout the O-Level period, there were two sisters who initiated morning prayers almost everyday with me and other sisters who were also taking O-Level. I really appreciate that even though it was their holiday break at that time, they were still so willing to wake up early just to pray with us before our papers in the morning. It made me feel really happy to have the support from the sisters during the stressful exam period. I felt more peaceful and that I was not alone.
